"The Education Commission helps all parishioners understand that the entire Parish communion has responsibility for promoting the reaching mission of the Church. The Commission has the responsibility of developing, promoting, and evaluating programs in cooperation with the Archdiocesan and Parish staffs." (Parish Pastoral Council Guidelines and Hand book, Archdiocese of Detroit) The Education Commission addresses such needs as Adult Faith Formation, Youth Catechism, and Family Life.
CHRISTIAN SERVICE The Christian Service Commission is dedicated to the ministry of serving the people of our St. Anthony family and surrounding community. Outreach programs include: FOOD CLOSET A variety of food items are kept in the Food Closet and are available to anyone in need. Every third Sunday parishioners are asked to bring in food items to replenish the closet. If you are in need of food...or know someone who is...please let us know. HOMEBOUND SERVICES Christian Service offers a variety of homebound services such as running errands, visitation, Eucharistic Ministry to our sick and shut-ins, or providing transportation to Mass. PRO-LIFE ACTIVITIES Baby Showers, Mother-Daughter Breakfast, and other activities are offered in support of Heartbeat of Monroe, and other organizations that support our fight against abortion. Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering for these and other activities. THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS FOOD BASKETS The Parish and School communities provide food baskets to those less fortunate during the Holidays, including a turkey with all the fixings! Please let us know if you, or someone you know, could benefit by receiving a food basket. ADVENT GIVING TREE Each Christmas our Giving Tree is filled with ornaments indicating items that we can donate to those less fortunate. The people of St. Anthony generously give of themselves during this Holy Season in support of area families, the Toledo Rescue Mission, and other organizations throughout the area. If you are in need of assistance during the Holidays, please let us know. CONTACT US Click on "CONTACT US" to the left to send us email, or call us at (734) 854-1143 to let us know if you or anyone you know is in need of any of the service that we offer.
